A case study has been performed to investigate the sensitivity of orographic rainfall on perturbations in atmospheric temperature. The so-called "Piggybacking" method allows to separate micro-physical responses from changes in macroscopic quantities such as the wind field. An ongoing subsequent study focuses on the dependence of cloud and rain water on CCN number concentration.
