The 19th European Conference On Non-Linear Optical Spectroscopy (ECONOS 2020/2021), Karlsruhe, Germany, 26th to 29th September

ECONOS 2020/2021, the annual meeting devoted to diverse topics in the field of nonlinear optical spectroscopy, is hosted by the Atmospheric surface-science (A.S.S) unit at IMK-AAF and held in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 26th to 29th September 2021.

The European Conference On Non-Linear Optical Spectroscopy (ECONOS) is the annual meeting devoted to diverse topics in the field of nonlinear optical spectroscopy, including coherent Raman scattering, novel laser sources, microscopy, imaging, combustion, ultra-fast, vibrational spectroscopy and chi2 NLO spectroscopy (e.g. Sum-Frequency Generation). Topics include, but are not limited to, CARS, and other forms of coherent Raman scattering, applications of high-order responses in the time and frequency domain, development of novel laser sources, as well as developments related to physical processes that give rise to spectral signatures in different media.

ECONOS in general provides a platform for scientific exchange between physicists, chemists, engineers, material scientists, biologists, biomedical scientists and industry representatives and is intended to provide participants with new momentum and directions for their research. ECONOS 2020/2021 in particular has a special aim to attract atmospheric scientists to this community.

The conference, originally planned from 19 to 22 April was postponed two times under the dynamic conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The intention of the organizers has always been to mitigate the disappointment and inconvenience for all delegates and sponsors who were looking forward to stimulating scientific discussions and in-person meeting during ECONOS 2020.
