Current Research Fields

  • Experimental investigation of microphysical and angular light scattering properties of ice crystals in cloud chamber experiments and in aircraft studies
  • Optical properties of aerosol particles; including depolarization measurements of dust and secondary organic aerosol particles
  • Development of one-of-a-kind optical instruments to help to assess the angular short-wave radiative properties of cloud and aerosol particles
